Have you noticed that there are more and more people, in Holland, who need to turn to the food bank for help?
Do you see people homeless in the larger cities? Is the salvation army ever empty? Obviously there are many people in Holland who are living below the poverty norm. Although we give help to developing countries, we live in a country were poverty is still a reality. More and more people are becoming dependant on donors and volunteers for the basics in life, food and clothing.
The volunteers of Desire & Give realize that it is outside their capability to change world wide poverty. But we are all capable of helping in practical ways those in need in the direct vicinity.
